Directions

The Museum is beside the Castle Ruins - at the highest point of the town centre.

From Agincourt Square climb the lane beside Iceland ( Castle Hill ) which is quite steep.

The museum itself is wheelchair friendly.

There is no public toilet in the museum. The nearest toilets are down Agincourt Street which is across Agincourt Square from Castle Hill.

The nearest public car park is at Glendower Street.

(Apologies, but a military security barrier bars unauthorised vehicles from the Castle Parade Ground).

There are many cafes and restaurants in the town. The Nelson Museum has closed down, but it is moving to the Shire Hall in the Square.
